A beginner level introduction to wine, suitable for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine.
For individuals, new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell and taste, while gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
This qualification explores the major grape varieties and important wine regions in which they are grown.
You’ll learn about the styles of wines produced from these grapes as well as key classifications and labelling terminology. Also, a basic overview of the key categories of spirits and liqueurs will also be provided.
You will be given a Study Pack, which includes the Level 2 Textbook, Level 2 Workbook and WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® card (SAT). Wine samples are going to be provided throughout the course using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the recognised qualification globally.
Level 1 WSET in Wines commences on Monday 6th November 2017 running as a day course. Completed booking forms and payment in full required by Friday 20th October 2017.
Level 2 WSET in Wines & Spirits commences on Monday 8th January 2018 running as a day course (9am-5pm) weekly until 29th January 2018.

Level 2 course is £325 in total
