A beginner level introduction to wine, suitable for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine.
For individuals, new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell and taste, while gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
This qualification explores the major grape varieties and important wine regions in which they are grown.
You’ll learn about the styles of wines produced from these grapes as well as key classifications and labelling terminology.
You will be given a Study Pack, which includes the Level 2 Textbook, Level 2 Workbook and WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® card (SAT). Wine samples are going to be provided throughout the course using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the recognised qualification globally.
Level 1 WSET in Wines commences on Monday 14th January 2019 9am until 6pm – Run as a day course including the exam at the end.
Level 2 WSET in Wines commences on Sunday 27th January 2019 5pm until 9pm and will run weekly until Sunday 24th February 2019 5pm until 9pm. The last week will be your exam.
The price for Level 1 course is £125 per person.
Level 2 course is £325 in total
Full payment is required before the course starts.
Both course are available to everyone, students who have not yet completed their Level 1 course can complete the Level 2.
